Light is the most important element in Photography, especially for portraits. Good light is more important than the background or the setting of the photo session, and more important than the kind of camera or lens someone uses. Therefore, as a photographer, you always look out for good light and if you have a photo session and the light happens to be good that`s great.
Light makes the look
With artificial light, we can “make” our own good light. This way we don`t need to worry about how the natural light will be at a photo session. Artificial light includes flashes or daylight lamps. To complement them we use reflective accessories, that reflect and bounce the light.
Regardless of the weather and what the sun is doing, or what the time of day it is – with artificial light we`re always good to go. Also, a huge variety of different looks can be achieved in the very same surroundings – just by changing the position and intensity of the lights. With artificial light, we can create exactly the kind of light we want. There`s so much creativity in using artificial lights. Reflective accessories to bounce the light around multiply these possibilities and add to the fun.

Licht ist das wichtigste Element beim Fotografieren, vor allem für Portraits. Gutes Licht ist wichiger als der Hintergrund oder die Umgebung, in der die Fotosession stattfindet. Und es ist wichtiger als die Kamera, die jemand verwendet. Daher hält man als Fotograf immer nach gutem Licht Ausschau und wenn du eine Fotosession hast und das Licht gerade gut ist, dann ist das super.
Licht bestimmt den Look
Mit künstichem Licht kann man sich selbst Licht machen und braucht sich um die tatsächlichen Lichtverhätnisse keine Sorgen zu machen. Künstliches Licht ist zum Beispiel ein Blitz oder Tageslichtlampen. Die können durch reflektierende Accessoires ergänzt werden, die das Licht reflektieren und weiterschicken. Unabhängig vom Wetter, davon, was die Sonne gerade macht, oder welche Tageszeit es gerade ist, hat man mit künstlichem Licht immer gutes Licht. Außerdem kann man damit eine Vielzahl verschiedener Looks in ein und demselben Setting umsetzen, ganz einfach indem man die Lichter anders positioniert oder ihre Intensität verändert. Mit künstlichem Licht kann man genau die Art von Licht erzeugen, die man möchte. Damit ist so viel Kreativität möglich. Und mit reflektierenden Accessoires gibt es noch mehr Möglichkeiten.
