... and things I loved the past season

Here are some photos from a fun photo day in the pretty and sun-flooded restaurant Champa of the Outletcity Metzingen. It was such a picture-perfect sunny day in the middle of February.

Other things that I loved about this past season:

Celebrating our family dog Welly’s birthday. We had another dog round and its owner (my friend from school). It was the warmest day of the year so far. We had bubbly whine in the sun before going for a walk in the sunset.

Taking time to read before sleep most nights. Even though that often meant less than eight hours of sleep a night. But being able to look forward to a story at the end of the day is kind of worth it. Also, it`s nice to have the “safe haven” of a novel to go to after a challenging day.

Meeting up with my friend from uni who I haven`t seen in almost a year and feeling a bit like a student again for a few hours. Also, the moment when we sat in the car on the way home and it started to snow in thick fat white flakes.

Truly appreciating friendship: Making an effort to call friends or meet up with them instead of just messaging. Saying yes to invitations and opportunities to connect.

Film and focus

Taking photos with my old film camera that I had as a teenager. Also, super grateful that digital photography is out now (so much cheaper) and that my family always gave me enough pocket money to buy as much film as I wanted when I was a kid.

Watching the beautiful and heartbreaking but mainly beautiful film “The Green Book”. “The world is full of lonely people afraid to make the first move”, Tony Lip, one of the main characters, says. One of the best films I`ve seen.

Choosing one single priority a day to put my focus on, to be sure to do. Also, finding a new system to approach my many to-dos and organize my day – I will explain this system in another post soon.
