Here’s a quote from my conversation with international press photographer @christofsage about his way of working:
“I need to be fast. The photographer Helmut Newton once asked me at an event: ‘Why do you use flash? Look, I photograph using only ambient light.’ But he was no contract photographer. He was there for fun, not to deliver. My work is about being fast. That’s a complete different way of working. It’s fun, but only very few photographers have that skill.”
