“Do less, observe more, enjoy most.”
educator Magda Gerber
Went to the city on Monday and came home with some Christmas pictures.
Also, with a reminder – once again – that less is more. I love Christmas time in London. It`s when I find the city the most beautiful and I want to soak up as much of the Christmas beauty as I possibly can. However, lately I haven`t managed to go to the city as often as I would have liked. I know so of many beautiful Christmasy places where I want to be. This can get a little overwhelming especially with the limited time frame of the Christmas Season. On Monday, I started in Notting Hill, had a little wander, then cycled further West to Holland Park to drop off something at a client, and then I headed to the city fetching a hot chocolate at Ebury Street and passing some other pretty spots until I reached Covent Garden where I wanted to drop something off at another client. These are quite some distances on the bike. I think it would have been way more enjoyable if I had just gone to one single area. On the way home I thought that before Covid I usually spent quite some time in a coffee shop writing – meaning I would spend quite some time just being in one place. It was pretty time consuming I have to say but it was such a happy maker for me. Somehow, I haven’t picked that up again and maybe I should at least once in a while.
