I´ve been doing a lot of interior photography in London lately for a home & living magazine. Interior Photography is truly enjoyable – like an indoor landscape but without the wind. It`s slow, it`s truly looking – once, twice, and a third time, it`s like a nice flow of Aws and Wows.
It`s something very special and a true honour to be invited to somebody’s home to take photos of their personal space. Coming to people’s homes to photograph their interiors is like having a first-row ticket to a show full of beauty and unique personality.
London interiors with charakter
Interior Photography and capturing the character of the home is more than finding the right angles and compositions, it`s about really feeling the atmosphere of the place. The feeling is most important because that`s what photography is all about: evoking emotions and transporting the ambiance and mood of a place, a situation, or a person. I love it.

Ps. The first two interior photographs with the lush greens, plants, and dark-painted walls were taken in the West London home of Allison Huff-Ritchie who writes on Instagram @the_london_treehouse about her journey of transforming her house into a home of coziness and comfort. The interior images with the beautiful kitchen area in a monochrome colour palette show the interior design of the talented Mel Blyth / BlythDesigns who is designing spaces of true character for her clients in London, UK, and around the world.

Für ein Wohnmagazin war ich in letzter Zeit viel im Bereich Interior Fotografie in London unterwegs. Interior Fotografie ist Genuss pur – wie eine Landschaft nur drinnen und ohne Wind. Es ist langsam, und es geht darum, genau zu schauen – einmal, nochmal und noch ein drittes Mal. Wie ein angenehmer Fluss von „Ohhs“ und „Wows“.
Es ist etwas sehr Besonderes, zu jemandem nach Hause eingeladen zu werden, um Fotos von ihrer oder seiner persönlichen Umgebung zu machen. Zu Leuten nach Hause zu kommen um deren Interieurs zu fotografieren ist wie ein Ticket für die erste Reihe in einer Show voller Schönheit und einzigartiger Persönlichkeit.
Charakter-Interiors
Interior Fotografie und den Charakter eines zu Hauses in Bildern festzuhalten ist mehr als den richtigen Blickwinkel und eine gute Komposition zu finden. Sondern es geht darum, die Atmosphäre eines Orts zu fühlen. Das Gefühl ist das Wichtigste, denn das ist das, was Fotografie ausmacht: Emotionen zu wecken und das Ambiente und die Stimmung eines Orts, einer Situation oder einer Person zu transportieren. Ich liebe es.

Ps. Die Fotos mit den satten Grüntönen, Pflanzen und dunkel gestrichenen Wänden habe ich bei Allison Huff-Ritchie aufgenommen. Allison schreibt auf Instagram @the_london_treehouse darüber, wie sie ihr Haus in West London in ein gemütliches Zuhause verwandelt. Die Bilder mit dem traumhaft schönen Küchenbereich in monochromer Farbpalette zeigen das Interior Design der talentierten Mel Blyth/ BlythDesigns, die Charakter-Räume für ihre Kunden in London, UK und weltweit entwirft.
